Fiscal Policy Bureau – MS 8-10-100 The Fiscal Policy Bureau (FPB) is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of fiscal claiming policies for County Welfare Departments (CWD) and fiscal support of CDSS programs. In this context, the Bureau develops fiscal analyses and recommendations for the development and implementation of new programs/funding proposals/proposed legislation; researches/analyzes state and federal laws and regulations to ensure the appropriate reporting of Titles IV-B, IV-E, XIX, XX, and TANF Maintenance of Effort expenditures; and identifies/develops revenue maximization strategies. In addition, the Bureau develops claiming instructions for county administrative and services expenditures and provides technical assistance and training to facilitate implementation of the state’s fiscal policies at the local level.
